Who is Jonathon Mark Johnson?

 

Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota.

What did you do for work?

From the age of 15 - 17, I delivered newspapers.  From the age of 18 - 20, I worked at fast-food restaurants.

Were you ever in the military?

At the age of 20, I joined the Navy in October, 1986 and retired November, 1990.

What did you do while in the Navy?

I was a welder on ships and submarines, an on-scene firefighter in-port and out-to-sea and an assistant manager in the sheet metal shop. 

Anything interesting done while in the Navy?

I visted the following countries: Scottland, England, Canada, North America (Virginia), Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Egypt, Russia, and Israel.

I did the following: Hang glide, rode a camel, became certified as a Dive Master, and dove the Red Sea.

What happened after the Navy?

In 1990, I moved to Denver, Colorado.  I have been married for 21 years and have 2 children.

Anything interesting done while in Colorado?

I volunteered as an EMT for Broomfield Ambulance for 4 years (saved 1 life out of 8); volunteered as a firefighter for Federal Heights Fire Department for 2 years (helped put out 2 house fires); skydived 25 times (never got an adrenaline rush).

Any schooling while in Colorado?

I have an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Front Range Community College and Bachelors Degree in Game Art & Design from Westwood College.

What are you doing with your life now?

I judge and write Living Forgotten Realms adventures (Dungeons & Dragons); I volunteer for my son's Boy Scout Troop; I drive buses for RTD (soon to go light-rail); I am currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Business from Front Range Community College.
